With a Ph.D. in Intercultural Media Education and Women’s Studies, Jennifer Abod is an award winning documentarian in both audio and video. Abod was part of the dawning of the second wave of feminism in the U.S.

Abod is a former radio broadcaster and singer/songwriter with the New Haven Women’s Liberation Rock Band. She was the Educational Coordinator for the New Haven/Yale Drug Dependency Unit. As a media specialist at Digital Equipment Corporation, she produced, directed and wrote both audio and video projects. She was assistant professor of Communication and Women’s Studies (Dr. Abod taught at U. Mass Boston, Worcester State, Hofstra University and Cal State Long Beach.)  Now an old lesbian feminist and widow, she enjoys the magic and pleasures of  writing, reading, sharing and hearing poetry, showing and speaking about her films, and the company of friendships spanning generations.
